You will find us to be friendly, Jesus-loving community of believers. We pursue God through worship, studying of the Bible and a lifestyle that conforms to what pleases God. We're reaching to the Greater Richmond community with Christ's love and share the good news of the Gospel.
The purpose of this group is to grow in Christ as a Christian Family; to help, encourage and edify each other; to equip ourselves for outreach and personal evangelism and to intercede for the people back in India.
Emmanuel Suresh Veeravalli is born in Andhra Pradesh, India. He made the decision to follow Jesus Christ in 1974. Even from a young age, he felt the call of the Lord and started to be actively involved in the ministry of God. He completed his Bachelor’s in Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration and relocated to the United States in the year 2000, along with his wife Hepsibah and daughters, Sharon and Shekinah.
He and his family moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2003 and began a bible study group in their home along with another Christian family. As more families joined, this bible study group was formally established as ‘InHisGrip’, a non-denominational Indian Christian fellowship in 2005. This group of passionate believers has been a source of inspiration and blessing to the Christian community in Richmond and across the country.
Jason Pottipadu was born and raised in Christian family and attended the Church every Sunday. In 1983 he was convicted of sin by the Gospel message of his cousin and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. Jason was baptized in 1984 and has been witnessing for Christ ever since.
"God taught me to be obedient and trust Him in all the circumstances. God is my rock and fortress. I will give all the glory and honor to Him, Amen."
Tagore Netala was born into a warm loving family and regularly attended church up to and throughout his years in high school.
"In India I was taught that GOD of the Bible was the only true God, but never embraced Him personally. To get some direction in life I often considered getting serious with God. Time after time however, I procrastinated with that important decision. Even with a move to the US and getting married, a feeling of emptiness followed me. In the same year we were married my wife and I were introduced to a church near our home. There a pastor helped me understand that I was separated from God because of insistence on living life my way, not God’s way. He went on to explain that Jesus has paid my penalty by dying on the cross for me. Furthermore, if I trusted in Jesus’ death to pay my penalty, I could begin a relationship with God and have an assurance of life with Christ after my death. I prayed asking Christ to come into my life and take over because I wasn’t doing a very good job with it myself."
"As a result of the Bible study, I made a whole new commitment to Christ. The inner peace that I was striving for so desperately was finally there. But the greatest thing of all is that I know for certain that I have a personal relationship with God through Christ and have eternal life."
